Employer is an international seed company (maize, sunflower, soybean, etc.) with the headquarters based Europe.

Location Kiev


 

 

Responsible for

1) Developing and coordinating sales activities for the total product portfolio in the working territory.2) Analyzing the markets and searching for new business opportunities.

Tasks in the different areas.1) Markets

  • Analyze the market potential (acreage and margin) for all relevant crops in which company is able to provide varieties
  • Analyze pricing system per crop across seed chain (wholesale-retail-farmer)
  • Get overview on players in the seed market: on competition, wholesale-retail, purchase groups
  • Develop CRM for all relevant and important contact possibilities

2) Clients

  • Gather detailed information about each (potential) client regarding: working territory, sales force, financial situation, market potential per crop, sales plan per crop, 1 year budget, 2 years planning
  • Develop individual business strategy per client
  • Make SWOT Analyzes per client
  • Look for new potential clients
  • Set up a priority list for clients
  • Support clients in all needed aspects to help them to realize maximum sales of products

3) Sales

  • Set up a 3 years sales plan per crop and get confirmation by Crop Manager International (CM)
  • Sales figures to be updated regularly in the planning tools, according to instruction of the CM
  • Discuss and define portfolio per crop with the responsible CM and PM International (PM)
  • Supply offers to clients at the time it is needed and based on the conditions given by the CM
  • Follow up to finalise the orders
  • Provide all needed instructions/information to the logistic department to secure accurate supply of seed to the clients
  • Participate on internal meetings when requested by CM or Line Manage
  • Realize sales targets in quantity and turnover

4) Finances

Stay within approved budget on costs

Support superior in developing cost budgets for budget planning

Use all possibilities to collect outstanding amounts from clients

5) Reporting

Supply reports about strategic or very important meetings with individual clients

Provide a monthly report according to the given instructions

Establish seasonal report for all crops according to the instructions of the CM

Set up a yearly report for the annual report of company

Provide specified report on demand by CM or Line Manager

Requirements:

Technical skills

  • Agricultural degree in economy or agronomy
  • Several years of experience in sales of agricultural products, preferable seeds
  • Agronomical knowledge on main agricultural crops
  • Knowledge in financial, administrative business area
  • English fluently in speaking and writing
  • Experienced user in Microsoft Office package (outlook, word, excel, power point)
  • Advantage to have knowledge on other database, ERP programs

  • Experience in people management (team leader)
  • Good social competency
  • Openness and honesty
  • Open minded for new development
  • Prepared for high personal input (working time, commitment)
  • Acceptance for extensive travelling needs
